Notes:
- This pouf is worked in half double crochet. This gives it an open stitch structure. The result is fun and loopy, but you will want to wrap the stuffing or fiber fill with an old sheet or scrap fabric when stuffing it so that the fiber fill doesn’t come out. - T-shirt yarn in 3 colors (approximately 200 yards of each color)
- Size 12mm crochet hook (or similar size)
- Yarn needle
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing (approximately 40 oz)
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
With Color A, make a magic ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring, join the ring. (8 sc)
Round 2: Ch 2, [2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] repeat all the way around, join the round with a sl st through the space to the left of the starting ch2.
Round 3: Ch 2, [2 Hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] repeat all the way around, join the round.
Round 4: Ch 2, [2 Hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] repeat all the way around, join the round.
Round 5: Ch 2, [2 Hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st] repeat all the way around, join the round.
Round 6: Ch 2, 1 hdc in each stitch all the way around, join the round.
